Bottom front passenger side, should have a quick disconnect looking fitting screwed in it. 12mm fitting. Recomend 75 psi gauge looking for a min 45 psi reading. At 2000 rpm, fully warmed up and driving down the road, the pressure is about 60. I suppose the spring in the oil pressure regulator could have become tempered and not as springy which would explain the higher pressure. If they pull the lpop gears and find imprints of needle bearings, you'll likely need a camshaft, lifters and probably a new front cover along with new lpop. I also pulled the oil filter after an overnight sitting and it appeared as the housing was full. So I am likely losing pressure somewhere and the High Pressure system is losing prime on a cold soak.Decided to pull out the LPOP to inspect.

The gauge is programmed to look like a real gauge, but it isn't. Be sure to install a MOTORCRAFT oil filter as soon as possible. To me it sounds like you have an electrical or sending unit issue w/ that switch.
